RAVE-O LITERACY PROGRAMME

Rave-O Literacy Programme

An interactive, multisensory foundation literacy programme that enhances retrieval, automaticity, vocabulary, comprehension and spelling.

Mediated learning is a style of teaching that develops strong independent thinking skills.

We utilise aspects of Montessori tools as a means to reinforce and embed fundamental knowledge and skills. It also supports our eye-contact teaching approach that  finds and builds strengths in each child.

We use a customised programme to develop auditory skills across the grades, in either a group or  individual session, that develops auditory processing, comprehension, creative writing, organisation and planning skills.

NeuroNet is a research-based learning support program designed to help students develop fluency in essential reading, math, and handwriting skills.

Our art class includes all the grades and includes specific artistic instruction with a fun application.

Our OT programme, in group or individual sessions, is focused on building motor and perceptual skills that are transferred back into the classroom and onto the playground for maximum long-term effectiveness. OT is integrated into various classes as well as outdoors in our playground and Science Park.

A new addition to our curriculum. The focus is on gaining confidence and ability in public speaking aswe develop voice projection, memory, teamwork, creativity and confidence.

Another new addition to the weekly schedule, we use these lessons to develop not only computer knowledge and skills but also support academic subjects and offer opportunities to practice skills learnt in class.

Our music classes are run by ResonanzeProject, a private music company specialising in vocals and various instruments. Our music lessons are about developing a love for music and building foundations of music.

Yoga brings to the school an inner dynamic that encourages internal reflection and mindful body movement.

Mediating more than Teaching

Mediation is designed to increase the student’s learning ability. It is a method where the student is asked to participate actively in learning.
